The Ministry of Mines and Energy has delegated its Mining Resources Management functions to

Ingeominas (Spanish)

This entity is responsible for those portions of the country that have not been delegated to anyone within a Department. In addition, it is responsible for coal and emeralds.

Departmental Governments (English)

    1. Government of Antioquia:Responsible for all matters concerning its jurisdiction over all minerals found within its territory.
    2. Govermnment of Bolivar:Responsible for all matters concerning its jurisdiction over all minerals found within its territory.
    3. Governent of Caldas:Responsible for all matters concerning its jurisdiction over all minerals, except for coal and emeralds, found within its territory.
    4. Government of Cesar:Responsible for all matters concerning its jurisdiction over all minerals, except for coal and emeralds, found within its territory.
    5. Government of Norte de Santander: Responsible for all matters concerning its jurisdiction over all minerals, except for coal and emeralds, found within its territory.
    6. Government of Boyacá:Responsible for all matters concerning its jurisdiction over all minerals, except for coal and emeralds, found within its territory.
