The Ministry of Mines and Energy, acting as the National Liaison Office with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has invited those institutions interested in participating in the proposal submission process for ARCAL (Regional Cooperative Agreement for the Promotion of Nuclear Science and Technology in Latin America and the Caribbean) within the areas related to the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
Proposals must meet the needs and problems described by the Regional Strategic Profile (PER) for 2016-2021, which established following six topics of interest:
- Food Security (A)
- Human Health (S)
- Environment (M)
- Energy (E)
- Radiation Technology (T)
- Radiological Safety (R)
Those interested in presenting proposals and/or participating in existing project concepts must submit the proper format before April 11th of 2014 to the inbox of the Nuclear Affairs Group of the Ministry of Mines and Energy: firstname.lastname@example.org.

Please note that the tables of needs do not include the topic of Radiological Security, because it is included within the 2014-2017 cycle.
